ONE-TIME OR ONGOING
ACTION PLAN
Every engagement begins with a complete financial plan, which we call an ACTION PLAN. It contains:
Information for decision-making: comprehensive financial planning projections
Decision points clearly spelled out: specific, personal, actionable advice
Action: six months of implementation
Specific deliverables include:
- Detailed financial projections for your “base case” plan, including Monte Carlo simulation.
- Scenarios to illustrate hopes and aspirations you might like to implement, if circumstances allow.
- Scenarios to test strategies like Roth conversions or other techniques appropriate to your unique circumstances.
- Scenarios to stress-test adverse events like unexpected inflation, impaired investments, and reduced Social Security.
- Written, action-oriented recommendations.
Topics are listed in detail below.
ONGOING ACTION
This is the best way to keep the momentum going.
Continuous implementation including task tracking and project management
Real-time advice whenever you need it, grounded in our relationship and timely analysis
Ongoing planning updates, tax projection, and special projects
If you don't need ONGOING ACTION, come back for another ACTION PLAN whenever you like.
BUILDING YOUR PLAN
Your plan will address all the topics which are most interesting and relevant to you.
- The components are listed below.
- Pricing is determined by complexity, set in advance, and billable in installments.
- Satisfaction is guaranteed per our policy on this site.
EXACTLY WHAT IS IN AN ACTION PLAN?
All items listed in the STRATEGIC column are included in every plan. Choose topics from the SPECIALIZED and STEWARDSHIP columns which you would like to discuss.
If you want to organize your thoughts as you go, tick the checkboxes for specific topics (or the column heading for that section) and you can save a PDF locally with your selections and notes. We won't see it. You can also send us a copy of your PDF, and we will reach out to discuss it with you.
None of this is binding. It just lets you record your thoughts, and will kick-start our conversation if you choose to share it with us!

We do not provide tax or legal advice. However, we have spent decades developing expertise in tax and legal topics. Therefore, we are not shy about developing, illustrating, and highlighting specific courses of action, always subject to the advice of your licensed advisers. References to advice in those areas mean offering up ideas and questions for you to explore with your properly licensed advisers.
We work extremely cooperatively with your other advisers. We work very hard to resolve any apparent inconsistency or conflict in the advice you are receiving from different sources.
We help you to ask the right questions of your advisers, to understand their advice, and to implement as efficiently as possible.
