I co-founded an independent RIA in the 1980s (WESCAP Group).
I advised families up to $100 million net worth as a Senior Financial Planner in the NBHQ headquarters office of Beacon Pointe for four years, through March of 2026.
I advised families up to $200 million net worth as a Partner at Abacus Wealth Partners for eight years.
I advised top executives of global powerhouse firms including ARCO, Northrop, and Nestle, and large private firms including McKinsey, Perkins Coie, and Kaiser Permanente, as the youngest Partner at Ayco (now Goldman Sachs) for nine years.
I earned my Series 7 and Series 24 (supervisor) designations while supporting leveraged premium life cases at Lincoln National.
I am a Certified Financial Planner (TM) and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
I earned an MBA in Finance and Statistics from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, and a BS in Computer Science from Purdue University.

What is Action Plan Partners?

Action Plan Partners is a service mark owned by Action Plan Holdings. Action Plan Holdings is an employee-owned California corporation. We offer services only to persons who are licensed in the US to conduct business to provide investment advice for compensation. We are not registered with any regulatory authority. We explicitly do NOT provide any ADVICE regarding securities or other investments. We MODEL and PROJECT investment returns to support our provision of NON-INVESTMENT ADVICE.

A note on technology

We use powerful, industry-standard systems for the computations underlying our advice to you. Our advice and ACTION PLANs are written entirely by humans, with no portion ever written by artificial intelligence systems (AI). We do not submit your personal data to any AI platform. We do not use cloud providers with questionable or unclear privacy practices (so we are currently avoiding Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud).

Some of the industry-standard software systems we use have begun to include AI-powered capabilities within their systems. We ensure our system providers state that they have direct agreements with the AI providers prohibiting retention or disclosure of data, its use in training, and the like. This applies to eMoney, Zocks, Luminary, and perhaps other systems we may use. We take your security seriously and we trust our own personal financial data and analyses to these systems.
